At Vertia, we don’t shy away from responsibility – Rakennuslehti wrote about our unique work culture

Vertia’s operating model is based on employee self-management. The company has 23 employees. Everything is guided by a set of rules established collectively, which address issues such as the resolution of disputes.

According to Jokinen, Vertia employees can make even major decisions on their own. However, they must first discuss the matter with colleagues who are affected in some way or who have knowledge or experience regarding the decision.

”The bigger the decision, the more widely it is discussed. Minor matters that relate only to one’s own work can be decided without seeking advice. For example, if you want to take time off, you don’t need special permission. The main thing, however, is that the work gets done.”
